Who is responsible

The controller for any personal data processed through this site is the site's administrator. The administrator can be reached through the contact note page or by email at [email protected].

What the site does not collect

The site is a set of static information pages. It has no user accounts, no sign-up, no payments and no comment or submission forms that send data to a server. It does not use analytics tools, advertising trackers, social media plug-ins or tracking pixels. It does not set cookies and does not use browser storage such as local storage or session storage.

The note tool

The note tool on the contact note page runs entirely in your browser. What you type is held only in your browser's memory while the page is open. The tool does not send anything over the internet and does not save anything on the site. Text leaves the page only if you choose to copy it or download it as a file, and from then on it is under your control. Closing or reloading the page clears it. Please do not enter sensitive personal details in the tool.

Email

If you decide to email the site's administrator, the message, your email address and any details you include will be received and used only to read and respond to your note, for example to correct a page. Please avoid sharing information about your health, finances or gambling history.

Hosting and technical logs

Like most websites, this site is delivered by a hosting service. When you request a page, the hosting service may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested and your browser type. These logs are used to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose faults. The site's administrator does not use them to build profiles of visitors.

External links

Some pages mention or link to other organisations. Those sites are run independently and have their own privacy notices. This notice does not cover what happens on them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal data. Depending on the circumstances, these include the right to be informed, to access your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing and to data portability. To exercise a right, contact the site's administrator through the contact note page or by email.

If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection authority.

Changes to this notice

If the way the site works changes — for example, if any new tool were added — this notice will be updated before the change takes effect.
